Due to the oval shape of AFL fields they require a slightly different method to be mapped correctly.
- Follow steps in How to Map a Venue (GPS) until you reach the add placemarks stage within step 2.
- When you reach the add placemarks stage within step 2, note only the below positions are required when mapping an AFL Field:
- Top Centre (TC) = mid point of the wing on the top boundary
- Center Field (CF) = centre circle
- Bottom Center (BC) = mid point of the wing on the bottom boundary
- Left Field (LF) = between goal posts on the left of the field
- Right Field (RF) = between goal posts on the right of the field
- Resume following How to Map a Venue (GPS) guide until you reach stage 10 within step 3.
- When you reach stage 10 within step 3 only assign the five Placemarkers created earlier.
- Select Done.
- The Field will populate on the right side of the Field Menu with the newly created Placemarkers.
- Select Advanced Mode.
- Adjust Parameters A and B to match the shape of the oval that you are mapping.
- Resume following How to Map a Venue (GPS) guide to complete Venue mapping process.
