What is a Table of Efforts / Events?
A Table of Efforts / Events displays events and efforts associated with Velocity (Gen2), Acceleration (Gen2), Football Impacts, Goalkeeping Dives, Impacts, Throws and Tackles with a breakdown of each individual effort / event within each of these categories.
Each of these associations are linked to modules in OpenField. These are opt-in for current OF customers. Please contact your support representative for more information.
The tables of efforts and events feature is available POST session only, and will not display any data live, for any of the metrics.
How to Create a Table of Efforts / Events
- Open an existing or new Activity in the OpenField Console.
- In any Dashboard, right click on any white space on the Dashboard.
- Select New Widget.
- Select Efforts / Events.
- Select from listed options below.
Acceleration Efforts (Gen2) Table
Acceleration efforts are broken down into each individual Acceleration / Deceleration. 5 key metrics are displayed for each in the Acceleration Efforts (Gen2) Table. These include:
Duration – The total length of the effort measured in seconds.
Start Vel – The velocity at which the acceleration effort detection started (user units).
Max Accel – The peak Acceleration / Deceleration value measured in m/s2
Distance – The total distance of the effort measured in meters.
Time Since Last – The duration in seconds from the previous effort (all efforts regardless of band).
The yellow bar at the top of the table indicates the parameter averages for duration, Start vel, Distance and Time Since Last. The max acceleration field here returns a maximum value for all efforts. Please Note: - Displaying all acceleration and deceleration efforts in this table will return the Max numerical value relative to the entire table and as such could display either a +ve or -ve value.
By default, all athletes are present in the table for the selected period, however expanding the ‘All Athletes’ menu allows the selection of specific athletes for display in the table. Expanding the Acceleration band menu allows the selection of specific bands to be displayed for Acceleration and Deceleration.
To export all information displayed in the tables, select the widget settings icon as shown below. Select the CSV button. The export format is CSV and will display all information relative to filters you have applied for widget visualization (Players, Bands, Periods).
Velocity Efforts (Gen2)
Functionally, the velocity efforts (Gen2) tables are similar to the acceleration / deceleration efforts table, as outlined above. One key difference is the functionality of the Band selection drop-down menu. With this widget, the Bands are not multi-select and as such you have the option to select one band only.
Dives, Throws, Tackles and Impact Events
The information provided for each event is broken down in an efforts and events table for each of the following categories:
- Dives
- Throws
- Tackles
- Impacts
For example, tackles are broken down into Tackle Intensity (AU), Tackle Duration (s), Tackle Impact (g) and Band (#). Impacts are broken down into Impact (g), Impact Direction (Direction) and Band (#).
Tackle and Impact Events are selectable relative to the band they occur in and this has been implemented using a band and above methodology. For example, if you choose to display ‘Tackle B3+, events in bands 3 to 8 will be displayed individually and specified within the ‘Band’ column.
