What are Catapult Goal Keeping Analytics?
Catapult’s Goal Keeping Analytics use advanced algorithms to automatically detect goalkeeper-specific dive events and quantify key performance metrics for each dive.
There are two versions available:
Version 1 (GK.V1)
Uses the original detection algorithm.
Each dive is classified into combined metrics such as:
- IMA Dive Intensity Band
- Dive Direction (Right/Left)
- IMA Dive Return Band
Example output:
IMA Dive Intensity Band x, Right, Return Band y
Version 2 (GK.V2)
Uses a newer, more accurate detection algorithm.
Each dive is broken down into three intuitive metrics:
- Dive Load – intensity of the dive
- Time to Feet – time taken to return to upright position
- Dive Count – number of detected dives
Each metric is further divided into Bands associated to:
- Intensity of Dive Load
- Direction of Dive (Left, Centre, Right)
- Duration to return to an upright position (Time-to-feet)
Note: Version 2 is recommended for improved accuracy and clearer reporting.
