If you need to transfer your OpenField console and data from previous sessions to a new PC, please follow the below steps:
-
Deactivate the current PC from your cloud account. Navigate to the OpenField Cloud - Settings - My Account. Under OpenField activation status, click ‘deactivate this computer’ for any PC that is currently activated.
-
Rename the Catapult Sports folder on the old PC. Navigate to My Documents - Catapult Sports and rename the Catapult Sports folder to CatapultSports.old.
-
Move the Database and Retriever folders from the old PC to the new PC via an external hard drive. Navigate to the old PC - My Documents - Catapult Sports - OpenField. Copy (DO NOT CUT) across the 'Database' and 'Retriever' folders to the external hard drive.
- You will also need to bring across your 'User.txt' file via the external hard drive. Navigate to the old PC - My Documents - Catapult Sports - OpenField - Resources - 'User.txt' File. Copy (DO NOT CUT) across this file onto the external hard drive. If you do not have this file in your Resources folder, please skip this step.
-
Download and install the OpenField console on the new PC. You can do this by navigating to the OpenField Cloud on the new PC - Settings - Download. Please ensure the same console version and user account is installed, as was on the old PC. For more instructions on how to download the OpenField console, please see our guide. It may take some time for the OpenField console to synchronise and install OpenField on the new PC.
- Once the Console is installed, plug in the hard drive containing the copied data to the new PC.
- Copy the 'User.txt' file copied in step 4. On the new PC, navigate to My Documents - Catapult Sports - OpenField - Resources and paste in this file. Please note, that you will need to close and open the console to view these changes. If you did not have this file in your old PC's Resources folder, please skip this step.
-
Remap this data that exists on the hard drive, onto the new PC. Navigate to OpenField console - Device Manager tile - Data Manager tab. You can then Follow our guide for steps on how to do this, beginning with 'How to Resolve Missing Data Assets.' Please ensure you are using the top C Drive location, and searching for files within the external hard drive.
