Overview
The Full Activity Annotation feature allows you to create annotations that span the entire duration of a session, regardless of how periods are defined. This enables complete workload analysis across warm-ups, drills, main phases, and cool-downs, all within the Cloud Editor.
Previously, annotations could only be created within predefined periods (e.g. First Half, Second Half). This limited the accuracy of performance reporting and often required users to return to the legacy Console to complete full-session analysis.
With Full Activity Annotations, you can now capture the complete performance picture in one place and streamline your workflow on the web platform.
How to Create a Full Activity Annotation
In OpenField Cloud:
- Navigate to the Editor and select the activity you want to edit.
- Select the Annotations Tool.
- Click the dropdown next to + Standard Annotations and select Full Activity Annotations.
- Click + Full Activity Annotations.
- By default, all athletes within the activity will be added
- The annotation will run from the start of the first period to the end of the last
Editing a Full Activity Annotation
After creating a Full Activity Annotation, you can:
- Rename the Annotation - Select the annotation and click the Rename tool to update the name (e.g. Full Activity - Starters)
- Resize the Annotation - Drag the start or end handles to include or exclude any part of the timeline
- Add or Remove Athletes - Use the Athlete Panel to adjust which athletes are included
Creating Multiple Full Activity Annotations
You can create as many Full Activity Annotations as needed for a single session. Simply repeat the steps above and click + Full Activity Annotation again.
This is especially useful for:
- Separating Starters and Reserves
- Comparing workload between positional groups
- Isolating athletes who completed different training blocks
Each annotation is independent and can include any combination of athletes.
