Ideal Positioning of Electrodes
To get the best results from the integrated Heart Rate functionality of the Vector Elite Vest 2.3, it is recommended that the electrodes sit at a height halfway between the bottom of the sternum and the bottom of the rib cage. If the electrodes are too high and are positioned on the pectoral muscles it can negatively impact player comfort and heart rate data quality. We recommend measuring at this point of the torso of your athletes and following the size chart below. If the chosen vest does not sit at the correct height we recommend shifting up or down a size so that the elastic sits correctly.
As with any heart rate monitor, the application to the skin needs to be secure, while ensuring it is not uncomfortable or restrictive to wear. In high impact and contact sports this is particularly important as any movement of the HR electrodes over the skin will introduce noise, and reduce the quality of the data.
