How to measure your athletes for Garment fit
All Vector compatible Catapult vests use a consistent sizing system* and are measured by torso circumference, below the pec. This includes the Vector Elite, Vector Core and Catapult Core vests. For a guide on which type of garment you need or are currently using, please see our Types of Vector Garments article.
The fit is particularly important if you are utilizing the Vector Elite Vest's Integrated Heart Rate functionality. Vector S7 integrated heart rate derives heart rate from the inbuilt ECG sensors in the Vector Elite Vest, therefore fit is important to ensure you get the best heart rate data quality possible.
As with any heart rate monitor, the application to the skin needs to be secure, while ensuring it is not uncomfortable or restrictive to wear. In high impact and contact sports this is particularly important as any movement of the HR electrodes over the skin will introduce noise, and reduce the quality of the data.
