Inserting your Vector unit into its garment correctly is an important part of setting up your session, as an incorrect unit orientation can lead to inaccurate data and potential dropouts.
Device Orientation
For the unit to function correctly it needs to be inserted into the pouch on the garment (Vest or Shorts) as follows:
- The LEDs must be facing outward, away from the athlete's body
-
The Logo must be at the bottom
Important:
-
Basketball teams: the anterior waist position is essential for Basketball Movement Profile.
-
Other sports, i.e. volleyball: can use a posterior position although orientation change for inertial data needs to be considered.
- For the most accurate results, it is important to set the correct Device Location before processing device data. Please see How to Detect Indoor Analytics guide for more details.
This ensures optimal data collection for your device. Posterior Unit Orientation is consistent across all the Vector lines and Garment options. If you need more information on which Vector Garment you are using please see our Types of Vector Garments guide.
