What are Raw Files?
Raw files are files created by Catapult devices during a session and contains the data from that session. These file are then downloaded into OpenField via the Data Transfer window.
How are Raw Files Applicable?
Raw files from Catapult devices can be used to help troubleshoot a number of issues including GPS connection within sessions. Raw files can also be used to check the firmware and settings of devices.
Catapult Support will commonly ask for raw files to help diagnose and troubleshoot device issues that occurred during that session.
How to Find Raw Files?

Raw files can be found in the following location on your PC - C:\Users\username\Documents\Catapult Sports\OpenField\Retriever\DateofSession.
To reach this location Open File Explorer on your PC and select the Documents folder.

Select the folder named Catapult Sports.

Select OpenField.
- Select Retriever.
- Select the date of the activity.
- Each raw file will appear as below, The first numbers of the file indicate the device ID and the following numbers indicate the start time of the raw file. In this example, the device ID is 77462 and the raw file started at 09:36 on the 21st of January 2021.
- Select the raw file(s) requested by Catapult Support and attach in ongoing Support ticket.
Important- If you are sending the file(s) via the chat widget please add them to a zipped folder before attaching to the conversation.
