What is an AutoCreatedPeriod?
-
If you do not have an Activity created for your data before you begin downloading an Activity, an Activity will be generated automatically in your sidebar at the time and date that the data is was collected.
,
-
If an Activity is manually created with no Periods in it, an AutoCreatedPeriod is automatically generated.
-
Any Athlete profiles that have a unit mapped to them and have data for the Activity that was downloaded will be automatically PIP'd in to this AutoCreatedPeriod. This is done to allow for an easy overview of all Athlete's data within the Activity without having to edit the Activity.
Editing/Deleting/Splitting an AutoCreatedPeriod
Editing the Period
-
Right click on the orange AutoCreatedPeriod bar
-
Select Edit. From the Edit menu, you can rename or edit the start/finish time of the Period. NOTE: Editing the Start/Finish times of the Period before creating other Periods will also change the Start/Finish time of the Activity
Deleting the Period
-
Right click on the orange AutoCreatedPeriod bar
-
Select Delete to delete the AutoCreatedPeriod
Splitting the Period
-
Hold Control+S then click and drag over the portion of the AutoCreatedPeriod in the Activity Timeline area to remove that section for being included in any Period. This will split the remainder of the Period into two Periods on either side.
-
Athletes that were PIP'd in the original Period will still be PIP'd in the two new Periods.
Concurrent Periods
It's important to remember that Athletes cannot be PIP'd in two concurrent Periods. If you are seeing a warning like the one below, check that your Athletes have been appropriately removed from your AutoCreatedPeriod.
To remove an athlete from an AutoCreatedPeriod, please follow these steps:
-
Select the AutoCreatedPeriod in the Activity Timeline area
-
Select to highlight the athletes from the PIP box
-
Right click on any athletes selected in step 2 and select Delete
-
If the AutoCreatedPeriod is not needed and all athletes have been removed from the PIP, please delete it.
