How Do I Connect my Smartwatch to the Vector App?
The Vector App must be downloaded onto the mobile phone that is linked to the Smartwatch. Login to the Vector App on your mobile device using the OpenField console username and password.
What Data Does the Smartwatch Display?
The Vector Watch App displays accumulated and instantaneous data from when the Device was turned on until the last time the Vector Device was seen via Bluetooth by the Smartwatch. The data doesn't reset anytime a new Activity or Period is created on the Mobile App or Console.
What is the Bluetooth Range?
The maximum Bluetooth range between the Vector Device and the Smartwatch is 30 meters.
What Do the Colored Circles Beside the Parameters Represent?
The color of the circle beside the Parameter name is indicative of the amount of time since the Device was last seen by the Smartwatch:
Green = within the last 30 seconds
Yellow = within the last 30-60 seconds
Red = +60 seconds
Why is the Max Velocity or Max Heart Rate Different From the Mobile App?
Instantaneous metrics such as max Velocity and max Heart Rate are held onto the Device for 90 seconds before being overwritten. As long as the Vector Device is seen by the Smartwatch within 90 seconds of achieving a max Velocity or max Heart Rate, the Apple Watch will display the achieved Max Velocity.
If the Vector Device is not seen within 90 seconds of achieving a max Velocity or max Heart Rate then this data may not be displayed on the Smartwatch. To avoid this, please ensure the athlete wearing the Vector device is also wearing the Smartwatch. The user won't be able to see this data until the Vector Device is downloaded post session.
For example, if an athlete is out of range of the Smartwatch (30 meters) for 95 seconds and the athlete hits a Max Velocity within the first 5 seconds of being out a range, the max Velocity will not be seen by the Smartwatch.
