Overview
Vector 8 device data will not download into or be processed directly by OpenField Console post-session, instead, Vector 8 device data is uploaded directly to the Cloud for processing via the Vector 8 dock.
When collecting data with Vector 8 devices, it may be necessary to download device data from the Cloud back to OpenField Console, in order to:
View and export 10Hz Sensor data in activities that includes post-processed data (rather than just 'live' collected data)
- Including Sport specific events, complete 10Hz trace/data, table of events/efforts etc.
View and export 10Hz Sensor data in activities that were not recorded live in OpenField Console
- Including Sport specific events, complete 10Hz trace/data, table of events/efforts etc.
Generate 100Hz data exports
- 100Hz Athlete CSV exports
- ADI Exports
When loading an activity in OpenField Console that captured live S8 data, if the activity contains data for athletes that has been processed in the cloud (such as from the processing of device 'raw files' that were uploaded to cloud from the dock), a notification pop up will appear.
Follow the steps below to download 10Hz sensor data back to Console to view a complete data set and traces.
Downloading 10Hz Sensor Data Back to Console
10Hz Sensor data can be downloaded back to Console on a per-activity basis.
When downloading data from the cloud for a given activity, only device data that overlaps with the activity time range will be downloaded.
The time required to download all sensor data is dependent on your internet download bandwidth, the number of athletes/devices with data in the activity, and the duration of the data to download.
To download 10Hz Sensor Data from the Cloud back to Console:
- Open OpenField Console
- Hit the Start Tile
- Open the Activity Menu
-
Right click the desired activity and select Download activity sensor data from cloud
-
Alternatively, when an activity is loaded in Console, right click the Activity Bar and select Download activity sensor data from cloud
- Once the download is complete sensor data will be available in the activity to be viewed and exported
- Graphs, table of events/efforts, data in widgets etc.
-
Console exports that require 10Hz sensor data can be exported, see Exporting 10Hz Sensor Data from OpenField Console and How to generate a CTR (.csv) from OpenField Console
Generating 100Hz Exports for Vector 8 Data
100Hz data exports are generated when a device’s raw file is processed in OpenField Console.
In addition, ADI Exports from Console require 100Hz data to be available in order to be exported.
Because Vector 8 raw files will be uploaded directly to OpenField Cloud via the Vector 8 dock, the raw files need to be downloaded from the Cloud, then imported into OpenField Console in order to generate 100Hz data and exports.
How to generate 100Hz exports for Vector 8 data:
- Log in to OpenField Cloud
- Navigate to Settings > Manage Raw Files
-
Download desired Raw File(s). For more information see Manage Raw Files
- Open OpenField Console
-
Perform a Console Sync
It’s important to perform this step to ensure that any changes made in the Cloud as a result of the raw file upload from the Vector 8 Dock are synced back down to Console. - If Raw files downloaded from step 3. have been added to a compressed .zip folder, ensure the folder is extracted
-
Right click the folder > select Extract All
-
-
Follow the steps listed in Exporting 100Hz Data from OpenField Console to import raw files downloaded from the Cloud into Console, ensuring the Export CSV option is checked in the Data Transfer screen.
