As part of the Vector Live 2.9 release, a selection of Metabolic Power parameters can be viewed live in the Vector Live app for GPS sessions in either standalone or streaming mode.
This article outlines the steps required to ensure you can detect Metabolic Power parameters during your live activities on the Vector Live app.
OpenField Account Configuration
In order to view Metabolic Power parameters live in the Vector Live app, your account must have the Gen2MetabolicPower module applied to it.
Please contact Support to request this module to be added to your account.
Minimum Required Vector Live and Device Firmware Version
Vector Live App version
- Vector Live version 2.9.0 or higher
The latest version of the Vector Live app can be installed from the App Store.
Device Firmware version
- Device firmware version 8.8.0 or higher
The latest available device firmware can be applied to connected devices via the Device Upgrade tile in OpenField Console - see How to update device firmware for more information.
Please note to apply firmware version 8.8.0 or higher to your devices you must first download and install OpenField Console version 3.12.0 or higher.

Configuring Your Account's Metabolic Power Settings
Ensure you have set and reviewed Metabolic Power settings to apply to devices and Vector Live.

Metabolic Power Parameters in Vector Live App
Metabolic Power parameters are available in the Vector Live app, and can be added to any of the Vector Live dashboards. These parameters can be viewed with the iPad in Standalone or Streaming mode.
Metabolic Power parameters can be added to Athlete Thresholds in OpenField Cloud, and subsequently used during live activities in the Vector Live app. For more information see Athlete Thresholds.
