Overview
Tracab uses Optical Tracking to determine a player's position with cameras. We can import this data into the OpenField Console using the Data Importer Tile.
Setup
Ensure that all athletes are set up with the Jersey number they are wearing for that game. This will automatically map the files to the correct athlete.
Batch File
- Add this batch file to your computer. It should have a batch file and powershell file in it.
- Extract the file in the location that you would like to use (e.g. the desktop).
- Enter your team name and API token provided by Tracab.
- Enter the number of the game that you want to download the file for.
- When the batch file finishes loading it will show the message "Finished Successfully" and you can hit enter to exit.
- This should create a folder called tracab_output. This folder will store all the game files that you import in the future.
- The game folder will have 3 files in it, a data file, an XML file, and a zip file. The Zip file will be imported into the OpenField Console.
OpenField Console
- Click Data Importer on the OpenField Console.
- For the source type drop-down menu select TRACAB and click next.
- Browse for the zipped file in step 7 above.
- Select Any match location and then select whether you were home or away for that match. Then click Next.
- After it says completed hit next again to proceed to the next page.
- Confirm this page has the imported activity and you can click next again to proceed to the next page.
- Once you receive a completed message you can click Next and then Start.
- Once this is done it will say that the selected activities have been successfully imported.
- Then the activity will show on the the activity menu for the date of the activity.
- Make sure to Full sync and the data will appear in the OpenField Cloud.
