Steps to Allow OpenField Apps Through the Firewall
Follow these steps to ensure OpenField programs can communicate through your Windows Firewall.
1. Open Windows Firewall Settings

Open the Control Panel on your computer. You can search for “Control Panel” from the Windows Task Bar.

Select System and Security, then Windows Defender Firewall.
2. Allow an App or Feature

In the left-hand menu, select Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.
- Click Change settings in the top-right corner of the window.
3. Add OpenField Programs

Click Allow another app…
-
Click Browse, then navigate to:
Note: The OpenField Release folder will only be available once you have installed the OpenField software. -
Select each of the following programs one at a time, then click Open:

Broadcaster.exe
-
CatapultNTP.exe
-
OpenField.exe
-
OpenFieldConfiguration.exe
-
-
Click Add for each program.
4. Allow Through All Firewalls
In the Allowed apps and features list, ensure each program is checked for:

Domain
-
Private
-
Public
5. Add Retriever.exe
-
Repeat Step 3 to add another app.

Browse to:
-
Select Retriever.exe and click Add.
6. Complete the Process
- Once all programs are added and allowed through all firewalls, click OK to save your changes.
Troubleshooting

If you still experience issues, temporarily disable or uninstall any antivirus programs on your PC.
