This guide explains how visiting teams can connect to and operate the ClearSky (LPS) system at Paris La Défense Arena using Stadium Mode. Stadium Mode allows Home and Away teams to capture data independently, with all data encrypted and securely separated between teams.

Equipment and Configuration
Required Equipment
To use Stadium Mode, please bring:
- OpenField laptop
- Ethernet cable
- Ethernet adapter (USB or USB‑C, if required by your laptop)
Configure the Laptop IP Address (Windows)
The laptop must be set to obtain an IP address automatically.
- Click the Windows button and search for View network connections.
- Right‑click the Ethernet connection used for the Catapult network and select Properties.
- Tip: If you are unsure which port to select, unplug and re‑plug the Ethernet cable. The correct connection will disappear and reappear, or change from a red cross to active.
- Double‑click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
- Select Obtain an IP address automatically.
- Click OK, then OK again to close all windows.
Stadium Mode Setup in OpenField
The laptop needs to be pointed to the correct IP address of the Broadcaster.
- Open OpenField.
- Select the Stadium Mode tile.
- Select Set up Stadium Mode.
- Enter the Stadium Mode IP address:
- 10.24.0.20
- Select OK.
Running an Activity
OpenField Drop Location (Ethernet Connection)
- The Ethernet connection point is located at the Away Team Bench in the stands.
- On match day, the Ethernet cable will be placed on the top of the desk, far left.
- The OpenField laptop must be connected here to access the ClearSky system.
Starting an Activity
- Connect the Ethernet cable to your laptop and to the OpenField Drop Location.
- Open OpenField.
- Select Stadium Mode → Start Stadium Mode.
- Right‑click in the main white OpenField workspace and select New Activity.
- Enter the activity name and select the team and day code as usual.
- Under Device Type, select LPS (ClearSky).
- Click Create Activity.
- Select the Play button (top‑right) to start the session.
Streaming to iPad
You can stream and edit the activity on an iPad as normal.
Important requirements:
- Both the laptop and iPad must have internet access.
- They may use different networks (e.g. laptop on staff_wifi, iPad on media_wifi).
- Both devices must be logged into the same OpenField account.
Streaming Setup (Laptop)
- Start an activity (see Starting an Activity section).
- In OpenField, ensure a Streaming Dashboard exists. If not, create a new one:
- Right‑click the dashboard and select:
- New Widget → Live Stream.
- Right‑click the dashboard and select:
- Add both streaming widgets:
- Remote Internet / 4G
- Local Network
- Select the Play button on both widgets.
Streaming Setup (iPad)
- Open the iPad App.
- Select STREAMING as the connection type.
- Enable Remote Internet Connection.
- Select EDIT as the streaming mode.
- Once set up, you should see the activity name above the orange JOIN ACTIVITY button. Make sure you are logged in with the same credentials as the Console and connected to the internet.
Device Limits (Match Day)
- The ClearSky system supports a limited number of active tag slots.
- On match day, the Away team can connect a maximum of 24 devices.
- Do not power on additional devices on match day, as this may prevent either team from collecting data for all players.
Note:
- This limit applies only on match day.
- During the captain’s run (day before the match), away teams may use their normal number of devices.

- Confirm laptop Ethernet settings (automatic IP)

On match day:
- Connect only at the Away Team Bench drop location
- Use Stadium Mode with IP 10.24.0.20
- Do not exceed 24 active devices
