Requirements to Stream to Multiple iPads
Multi iPad environments eliminate the need for the OpenField Console and a laptop. It allows users to view or edit data captured live from an Activity straight from one or multiple iPads.
- Vector Live app 2.7 needs to be installed on your iPad
- Device and Receiver Firmware 8.10+ is needed
Setting Up Your Primary iPad
Follow the standalone mode steps shown in this guide on the initial iPad to get your activity started however ensure to select the following on the start screen prior to starting your activity:
- iPad Connection Type: Standalone.
- Share to other iPads: On.
Connecting the second iPad and enabling Edit or Read Only modes
- From the second iPad, login to the Vector Live app with the same credentials used to login to the first iPad. Ensure the correct region is selected.
- From the Vector Live app,
- Select iPad Connection Type: Streaming.
- Use Remote Internet Connection: Toggle off.
- Select your streaming mode: If you want to create, edit and delete Periods from the Vector Live app, select Edit as your streaming mode. If you want to view data only, click View.
- Navigate to the WiFi settings and click the same Vector Access Point Receiver WiFi credentials and enter in the same password as step 4 above.
- From the Vector Live app, click the Join Activity button.
