Why do I need to Charge the Vector Receiver?
The Vector Receiver operates wirelessly via an onboard battery when the Vector Receiver is connected to the PC via WiFi and not physically connected to the PC via a USB cable.
How to Charge the Vector Receiver
The Vector Receiver is charged using an external USB C to Mains Power Adapter which is provided with the Vector Kit.
-
Connect the USB outlet on the USB C to Mains Power Adapter into the USB port on the Vector Receiver.
-
Plug the Mains Power Adapter into a Power Source.
-
While charging the Battery Status LED on the Receiver will illuminate red to indicate charging and green to indicate a fully charged state.
What Mains Power Adapter and USB C Cable should be used?
Please see pictures below of Catapult provided adapter and cord.
Using non-Catapult provided adapters and cords can negatively impact battery life on the receiver.
If you have any queries around using the correct adapter and cord, please contact support.
Does the Vector Receiver Battery Charge when connected to the PC?
The Vector Receiver does not draw enough power from the Laptop in order to charge the battery. The Vector Receiver does however draw enough power to be operated.
This means that if a Vector Receiver with a completely depleted battery is connected to a PC, the PC will provide enough power for the Vector Receiver to be powered on and operated.
What is the expected battery life of the Vector Receiver?
The Vector Receiver expected battery life is approximately 8 hours when fully charged.
Note: The Vector Receiver is powered by battery and needs to be powered ON when in use for both wired and WiFi use.
How long does it take to charge the Vector Receiver?
The Vector Receiver takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge from a fully depleted state, when charged via the USB C input.
