When creating an activity the user will need to select a device type for the activity. The options given are GPS, LPS (ClearSky), and Inertial.
It is important for the user to select the correct device type, as the incorrect device type will result in no data pulling through.
How to identify the device type/activity mode is set correctly
When an activity has been created and the play button has been selected to begin a live session, you can determine which device type was selected for the activity via the top menu bar.
For example, depending on which device type is selected in the activity set-up, once the play button has been pressed, the following messages will appear on the top menu bar:
