Vector 8 requires registration of the new hardware before first use.
In this workflow step, you will configure your Dock’s WiFi connection and register your devices to your OpenField account, using the new Catapult Vector app.
Before Getting Started
- Ensure you have completed OpenField account registration
- Ensure you have a compatible iOS device (iPhone / iPad), with an active cellular or WiFi internet connection
- Ensure you have installed the Catapult Vector app from the App Store
- Ensure you are in range of a WiFi network with an active internet connection
Log in to Catapult Vector app
- Log in to the Catapult Vector app by entering:
- The Region of the account
- Your OpenField Username
- Your Account Password
Enable Bluetooth Permissions and Pair your Dock to your iOS Device
- Enable Bluetooth permissions for ‘Catapult Vector’ when prompted by iOS.
- Pressing cancel will require the manual activation of Bluetooth permissions via iOS settings/apps.
- Wait for the auto scan to complete and your Vector 8 Dock serial to be displayed in the list.
- Select all of your Docks by using the checkbox selection or pressing ‘Select All’ and press Next.
- iOS will alert you to confirm pairing to each dock individually, press Accept, on each request.
Configure your Dock’s Internet Connection
In this step you will connect your Vector 8 Dock(s) to the internet to ensure it can register to your account.
- The Catapult Vector app uses Bluetooth to configure your Dock(s) WiFi connection, ensure your iOS device is <10m from your Dock during configuration.
- The Dock will auto scan for networks every 15 seconds, if you don’t see your network in the first scan, please wait for the next scan to complete.
- If you have multiple Vector 8 Docks these will be configured at the same time using a single WiFi scan and password entry.
On the ‘Choose a WiFi Network’ Page
- Wait 10 - 15 seconds for the first scan to complete.
- The spinner will let you know a scan is in progress!
- Select a WiFi network from the list and enter the password.
- Wait for internet connection to be confirmed.
Registering and Updating your Docks
In this step your Docks will automatically be registered to your account and updated to the latest Firmware.
- Plug your Vector 8 wearables into the Dock when prompted.
- Press Next.
- Wait up to 5 minutes for registration and Firmware update to complete.
Your Vector 8 Docks and Wearables are now registered to your account.
Note: You agree that the Vector 8 devices provided, along with any associated accessories and services (together, the Vector 8 System) is deemed to form part of your existing Order with Catapult, and is therefore subject to the existing terms of that Order.
By accepting the delivery of, using, installing, or failing to notify us (within 5 business days of receipt) of a refusal to accept delivery of the Vector 8 System, you agree that you have read and accept the above.
