Background
The Catapult Vector app is the central hub for managing Vector 8 hardware and data. This guide explains essential workflows within the app, including hardware configuration, system troubleshooting, and direct-to-cloud raw file uploads.
Supported Devices
Catapult Vector is an iOS-only app and it is supported on iPads and iPhones running iOS 17 or later.
Navigating the Catapult Vector App
The app includes four main tabs, each designed to help you manage different aspects of your Vector 8 devices. In addition, Help and My Account are always available from the menu, regardless of which tab you are using.
Activity
Use the Activity tab to create Activity Shell activities where no devices are connected.
Note: You cannot run live activities with S8 devices in this tab. To track live activities with S8 devices, use OpenField Console or Vector Live.
Hardware
Use the Hardware tab to manage your devices and docks. You can:
- Set device alarms
- Add/change WiFi connections on your Vector 8 Dock
Uploads
The Uploads tab lets you view raw file uploads that have been synced directly to the cloud via your Vector 8 Dock.
More
The More tab is used to manage athlete device mappings.
Help (Always Available)
The Help option provides access to the in-app chatbot and support articles at any time.
My Account (Always Available)
The My Account option provides access to your account and app settings.
Activity Tab
To create an Activity Shell, follow this guide: What is an Activity Shell?
Note: You do not need S8 devices present or connected to create this activity type. For all other live activity tracking with S8 devices, use OpenField Console or Vector Live. For more details see: Collecting Live Data
Hardware Tab
The Hardware tab is split into two sections: Devices and Docks.
Devices
You can set and view alarms for your devices:
- Tap Vector 8 Devices.
- Select the device(s) you want to set alarms on.
- Tap Set alarm and choose the day and time.
Docks
You can manage WiFi connections and view connected devices:
- Add & Remove WiFi Connections: see Managing Vector 8 Dock WiFi Connections
- For Captive Networks, follow: Captive Portal Networks with Vector 8
- View Connected Devices in the Dock
- View Dock ID, Model and Firmware
Uploads Tab
The Uploads tab allows you to view raw file uploads that have been synced directly to the cloud. You can track both successful and unsuccessful uploads.
