The Efforts Breakdown allows you to see when, where, and how Velocity and Acceleration Gen2 efforts occurred for a single athlete within a single activity, enabling deeper insight into the most intense moments across training and competition.

Accessing the Efforts Breakdown
To access the effort breakdown, navigate to the Athlete in Activity report, select the athlete you would like to view and then either select the Efforts tab or scroll down to the Efforts section.
From here you will be able to view:
- Velocity Trace - Full 10Hz trace with effort overlays.
- Efforts Table - A table of individual efforts with associated parameters.
- Field View - Overview of the location of all efforts.
By default, the view shows all Velocity efforts across all Velocity Gen2 bands. Note that these bands include all efforts above a set threshold. As a result, it may appear that more efforts are present than actually occurred in a high-intensity context.
For more accurate analysis, we recommend filtering down to a specific band - typically high-speed or sprint efforts - to focus on the most relevant data for your needs.
Using Filtering and Interaction Options in the Efforts Breakdown
The Efforts Breakdown view provides several tools to help you filter, explore, and interact with acceleration and velocity efforts. Below is a guide to each available option.
Effort Type Toggle - At the top right of the section, you can switch between Acceleration Gen2 and Velocity Gen2 Set1 efforts using the toggle. This allows you to focus your analysis on a specific effort type.
Band Selection - Use the Select Bands dropdown to choose which effort bands to display. You can toggle individual bands on or off to customise your view.
Table Filtering - Each column in the Efforts Table includes a filter icon. Click this icon to enter a specific value or range for any parameter, such as Max Velocity or Duration, to quickly find relevant efforts.
Zoom and Pan - Click and drag across the velocity trace to zoom in on a specific time window. Use the overview panel below the main trace to pan across different areas of the session.
Selecting a Single Effort - To explore a specific effort in more detail, hover over or click a row in the Efforts Table. This highlights the selected effort on both the raw trace and the field view, showing when and where it occurred.
How to Change the Colour of an Effort Band
