Thunder - 20.2.4.1 - Server Fix for Data Entry and Grading Bug
This only applies to Thunder 20.2.x customers using Grading Reports or the older Data Entry Templates.
A bug with saving data within the Data Entry templates was discovered and has since been solved. If your staff utilizes the Data Entry templates, specifically for Player Grading Reports, please contact XOS Support.
To correct the issue, we need to schedule a database upgrade with support. During this time, we would need a window of downtime, but will not need any other assist from the video coordinators.
ThunderCloud would remain operational, and the travel mode sync is not affected. Your staffs can work in travel mode without impact, and you are not required to drop/create subscriptions. Your Thunder clients do not need to be upgraded during this server only update.
If you have any further questions, please contact support.

Every problem has a solution. The fix is not always what we want, however. Other times, it involves switching to new hardware or software to accomplish the task. It's not uncommon for the solution to be re-architected from scratch. People who know more than you do may require large sums of money. Sometimes it takes a long time to find a solution.
In other words, fixing a problem doesn't always mean fixing the problem in its entirety. It's about coming up with the most cost-effective solution and implementing it.
Problem-solving is still cheaper for you, but you're anticipating a tipping point where it will be more cost-effective to move off the hardware. Present your options to subscription management and let them decide how important this issue is to them.
