In a scenario when you need to stream video down to a tablet on the bench, but don't have access to the wired network infrastructure, you might use a wireless access point to re-stream video wirelessly between devices.
Software Access
- Use Catapult Pro Video account login credentials to log into Focus Client on Mac and iPad while connected to the internet
Connect Mac/PC to Access Point
- Connect to Access Point WiFi
- Go to Network Preferences > Advanced > TCP/IP
- Change Configure IPv4: field to Manually
- IPv4 Address: 192.168.10.2
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Save

Focus Server Setup
- Open Focus Server > Clients
- Set server Port [17000]
- HTTP Port [18080]
- Set Password Authentication
- Open Focus Client on the Mac > Settings > Server > Connect to Server (Local). Server should be automatically discoverable if open
- Connect Blackmagic Recorder (Use 'Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup' to set SD or HDMI)
- Connect Camera to Mac/PC via Blackmagic recorder
- In Focus Server go to Recorders > Edit in the lower section, select Blackmagic recorder and click ‘Re-streaming’ column, select HLS
- Restart Re-stream
Mac/PC - Focus Client
- Start Live Session
- Name Event and Session
- Select Blackmagic Video Feed
- Save
Connect iPad to Access Point
- Connect to Access Point WiFi using password on the reverse
- Go to Network Preferences > Advanced > TCP/IP
- Change Configure IPv4: field to Manually
- IPv4 Address: 192.168.10.3
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Save
iPad - Focus Client
- Focus Settings > Server > Advanced
- Server: Remote
- URL: 192.168.10.2
- Enter Password
- Home Screen > Open Live Session
Troubleshooting
