When PlayerTek pods are having issues picking up Heart Rate data, Product Support Technicians may ask if a 'coded.txt' file is on the pod.
Instructions for Windows Users
- Download the Coded Text File Zip Folder at the bottom of this article.
- Head to Downloads then Unzip the folder (Right Click > Extract All > Click Extract).
- Move the newly Unzipped Folder to your desktop.
- Click into the Unzipped folder on your desktop and you should see the 'coded.txt' file. We will use this file later on in step 8.
- Connect a PlayerTek+ pod to the PC. The pod will then show up as a USB Drive under 'This PC' in Windows Explorer.
- From here, click on the USB Drive and the files on the pod will display.
- It is important to ensure file extensions are ticked, you can check this by going to View > File Name Extensions and ensuring this is ticked:

- Once here, scroll to the bottom of the USB drive and check to see if 'coded.txt' shows like the image below:
- If the file is not there, then paste the Coded.txt file from the folder on your desktop (in step 4) onto the USB Drive.
- If you see a Settings.dat file, please right-click on this file and Delete it:
- Please repeat the steps 5-9 above for all remaining pods.
Instructions for Mac Users

- Move the newly Unzipped Folder to your desktop.
- Click into the Unzipped folder on your desktop and you should see the 'coded.txt' file. We will use this file later on in step 8.
- Connect the pod to your Mac. The pod will then show up as a USB Drive in the Finder
- Click into a USB Drive, and files on the pod will display.
- You can see the file extensions using these instructions:

- Select “Show all filename extensions”.
