The PlayerTek Firmware updater can enable pods to be used for live tracking with the PlayerTek+ Live App, Indoor mode and the best version for Heart Rate data with compatible straps.
How to Update the Pods Firmware

Please check what Windows version the PC is running - you can do this by typing about:
Click into 'About your PC' and here it will show the System Type and Windows version:

Please also install the relevant windows drivers, windows 7 users should use the win 7 drivers matching their operating system type 64/86. Please download the files and extract all the files. Please see all Drivers HERE
Please note - Windows 11 users should install windows 10 drivers. - Please run and install the Visual C++ package HERE and HERE (Please Run both).

Make sure all pods are switched off and disconnected from power (laptop or docking case).
- Click on the attachment HERE to download the Firmware Installer.

Right click on the PLAYERTEK FW Update J3.20 folder and select -> Extract All -> Extract.

Open the 'PLAYERTEK Pod Updater' from the extracted folder.

The pod updater should open like this below. If the application fails to start your version of windows may need a Microsoft Update -please contact support and provide a screen shot of the error message.

Connect a PlayerTek Pod to the computer.
- You can do this using a single USB charging cradle, or using a docking case (up to 10 pods supported by the update tool).

Push the PlayerTek Pod power button once to turn on the pod.

Watch the left green LED on the PlayerTek Pod flash 3 times.

Press and hold the button until the left LED stops flashing (approx 30 seconds) or until "1 Pod Found" shows up in the PlayerTek Pod Updater.
*The middle light of the PlayerTek Pod should go solid once connected which indicates that the Pod is in firmware update mode. See below for a short video showing this process.
If you get the timing wrong the pod will startup and enter USB mode. If this happens just disconnect it from the power and allow it to shutdown fully, then try again from step 1. -
Push Upgrade Pods in the Pod Updater.

Wait for the green bar to fill up and for the Pods found to go back to 0. You'll notice if the pod is updated successfully, it will restart automatically and show up as a USB device in the computer.

Unplug the pod and repeat the steps for any and all additional PlayerTek Pods.
Additional Info/Notes/Handy Tips

If you push and hold the power button and the 'no pods found' error still shows up, unplug the pod, turn it off and try the steps over again.
