Catapult combines the world’s most reliable GPS antenna with a range of other sensors like tri-axial accelerometers, tri-axial gyroscopes, and tri-axial magnetometers, along with the ability to connect to heart rate sensors to give Catapult users the most accurate and holistic view on athletic movement.
Catapult have recently produced a new, innovative garment with integrated HR. Meaning, it is the least intrusive HR capture on the market. The garment allows you to capture HR through a conductive material that is linked directly to the device. This information is then wirelessly sent to your capture device, iPad, iPhone, laptop or watch.
The Catapult athlete tracking system seamlessly pairs with eight versions of the Polar heart rate coded straps, providing users insight into physiologic load.
Six of the preferred models include: Polar T31c (coded), Polar H1, Polar H2, Polar H3, Polar H6, Polar H7.
Coded heart rate straps are instrumented on each player and the strap communicates data wirelessly with the Catapult device. Coded heart rate straps are required for team sport environments, whereas for individual sports, any strap can be used.
Data from the device can be transmitted in real time through the Catapult receiver, and is stored locally on the Catapult device for post-session download. By tracking activities and periods, detailed breakdowns and analysis can be conducted involving heart rate-related metrics.
