In an organisation with shared devices between teams (e.g. Senior and Development squads) we have introduced an improved user-led data management system, in the form of selective downloading from your devices.
Your devices will now recognise if they have previously downloaded and by default will not download these files. This is to ensure you do not needlessly download sessions from the device which you do not require, easing space requirements on your local PC.
New menu selections include ‘Always Download’ which will ignore the above condition and continue to download these files.
EXAMPLE: - TEAM A HAS PERFORMED A SESSION IN THE AM AND PASSES THEIR DEVICES TO TEAM B IMMEDIATELY POST SESSION TO RECORD A SESSION IN THE PM. TEAM B USES THE ‘TRANSFER RANGE’ FEATURE TO DOWNLOAD THEIR SESSION TO ENSURE THEY DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE OTHER TEAM’S DATA. TEAM A WILL NOT DOWNLOAD TEAM B’S SESSIONS (BY DEFAULT) AS THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN DOWNLOADED.
To further assist the selection of the appropriate sessions, there is now functionality to select an appropriate time range from a drop-down menu as pictured below. These ranges include the past hour, day or week and by default, activities will download with no time frame restrictions.
