What is a Sync?
An GPSports Sync Synchronises data between the GPSports Cloud and the GPSports Console. The type of data that is transferred depends on if it is a Cloud Sync or a Backup.
Types of Syncs:
Cloud Sync:
The Cloud Sync option 'Fast Syncs' up the summary data for each Split and whole Session from the Console to the Cloud. This allows the user to generate reports in the cloud from the summary data or Sync up changes made in the Console to the Session (E.g Device Mappings, Split Bounds, Flagged Regions etc.)
A Cloud Sync also Syncs down any Changes to Band settings, Teams or Athletes from the Cloud to the Console.
Backup:
The Backup Sync Uploads Raw Files and GPSports Data files for storage on the GPSports Cloud as a means of Data backup.
NOTE: We recommended a Backup to be completed at the end of each week. The time for this process will depend on your internet speed. Make sure you have a good quality internet connection prior to running a Backup sync.
How to Sync:
- In the console, navigate to the GPSports Console Tile Screen. Select 'Cloud Sync' or 'Backup', depending of the type of sync you need. This initiates the sync process.
